The leadership of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), FCT Branch, led by Branch Chairman MLS Musa Wazani, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness Dr. Idris Musa, the Sarkin Jiwa, to formally interface with the royal father and congratulate him on his recent elevation to the status of a First Class Chief.
During the visit, the branch officially presented a request for HRH Sarkin Jiwa to serve as a Patron of AMLSN FCT Branch. In his response, His Royal Highness graciously accepted the request and assured the delegation that he would diligently uphold the responsibilities associated with the role.
HRH Dr. Idris Musa expressed deep appreciation for the critical role and contributions of Medical Laboratory Scientists in the healthcare sector, acknowledging the indispensable nature of laboratory services in quality healthcare delivery. He further assured members that his palace remains open to all Medical Laboratory Scientists, emphasising that “we are one family” and encouraging members to reach out to him whenever necessary.
In a show of goodwill and support, the Sarkin Jiwa also introduced and linked the association with other dignitaries from the FCT who were present at the palace on separate courtesy visits, thereby strengthening potential networks for collaboration.
The Branch Executive Council extends its sincere appreciation to the distinguished directors who sacrificed their time to honour the occasion, including Chief Joseph Salifu (FCTA), Dr. Anthony Ilegoke (National Hospital Abuja), Dr. Jude Odugu (FMC Jabi), and Dr. Olusoji Bilirose (AMLSN National First Vice President and MD/CEO, Labcrest). The event was well attended by members of the AMLSN FCT Branch Executive Council, making the visit both impactful and memorable.
